This past weekend, many members of the Honey Stinger/Bontrager Off Road Team headed to the Annual Fat Tire Festival in Crested Butte, CO for a awesome weekend of racing. First up was the epic 40 mile XC that throws 7,000 feet of climbing in the mix. For the Pro Men, Trevor Walz finished an awesome 8th! Another great result after his 29th at the most recent Pro XCT in Colorado Springs. Colin Osborn finished in 16th after blowing up. And Zeke Hersh came in a solid 21st place, still finishing well ahead of the many other Pro racers.
For the women, Jaime Brede from Breckenridge had an awesome day coming in 6th, And Tammy Sadle finished in 12th. Both great finishes for Tammy and Jaime.
Also doing the 40 was Josh Cullen who took 4th in the Single Speed category, which is impressive enough already that he rode the course on the single speed, alone finishing 4th! Ian Anderson and Nathan Waldron both finished in 8th and 11th for the Cat 1 category.
All XC riders finished the races caked in a thick brown dust from the course but huge grins from the awesome single track. Team sponsor Acli-Mate was on hand there in the feedzones to keep riders properly hydrated on the hot dusty day.
Later that afternoon, Colin Osborn went on to take 12 in the Pro/Open Super D #1 and then 9th in the next mornings Super D #2.
All in a sweet weekend in Crested Butte for the Team!
Huge thanks again to all the sponsors who make it possible!
